Year Two Key Moments 2018-2019

TCLT operational reports were submitted regularly to the CLDP administration and oversight committee, as were funded project final results to ensure transparency of outcomes and expediency of investment.

Some highlights included:

OCTOBER 2018

CLDP REPORTING & PLANNING-FORWARD

FEEDBACK

Wiki Mulholland email 25.10.18 – It was great to have a good catch up & do some reflecting and planning for year 2. TCLT is doing great mahi and the things that have been tough have provided great learning opportunities. I am working on modules that will hopefully be useful and relevant for where the trustees are at. We are getting into the grind of the programme now as we dig in for the long term benefits. I always enjoy the honesty of working alongside you all. W

SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER 2019

WORKING ALONGSIDE MARAE COMMITTEE

On Friday 4th October 2019, at Paraweka Marae, Pipiriki, some of our community whānau witnessed the successful testing of our new emergency generator purchased and donated by the TCLD Trust and installed by CME Services whose costs were sponsored by Te Ati Hau Trust and the Whanganui District Council. Following the testing was a formal signing-over of ownership ceremony in front of Pire Kiore and then a scrumptious kai was had by all. The day ended with a photo to memorialise a really extra special day. Rick Kingi as the marae committee chair, commented, “We have other exciting projects in mind to complement the receiving of this wonderful gift and asset from the TCLD Trust. We are grateful as a remote community people to have such groups working alongside us to help achieve our dreams, hopes and aspirations to benefit us and in particular for our tamariki mokopuna, who are our future. Thank you too, to Robyn Nicholas, Community Operations Manager, the Department of Internal Affairs for travelling up from Wellington to share in the day’s proceedings.”
